How many children these days are exposed to traditional gugak music?
There are academies for violin, piano, and even Russian music.
But not a single one teaches gugak music.
How did gugak end up being such a neglected genre?
However, if we develop diverse programs focusing on the "play" of gugak
so that it doesn't seem boring and uninteresting, it would become more accessible to children.
