<10th Anniversary Special Arirang Gala Concert>
A special show titled ‘10th Anniversary Special Arirang Gala Concert’ is to be featured at Yeakdang Hall at the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts on Friday, February 2, 2007. It will give an opportunity for an international audience to appreciate all kinds of music themed “Arirang,” the most popular and best-known Korean folk song containing the history and sorrow of the Korean people. Everyone can enjoy interpreting the past, present, and future of “Arirang”, an ensemble piece and variety of music played with Eastern and Western musical instruments. In addition, the Royal Court Dance, a solemn and powerful choreography, and diverse vocals will take part.
The special concert aiming to celebrate Arirang TV’s 10th anniversary will present magnificent performances by the Court Music Troupe, Folk Music Troupe, Creative Music Troupe, and Dance Troupe of the National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts.
