It was 60 years ago, when the tragic war broke out in the Korean peninsula. The Northern part of Korea attacked the South, The Korean War, which happened in the morning of June the 25th in 1950, forever changed the Korean history.
While the battle continues, the United States of America forms allied forces in order to support South Korea and to put an end to communist forces. From the battle of Incheon commanded by General MacArthur, to Hungnam Evacuation, allied forces, centered around the U.S. forces carry out intense fight between the South and the North.
However, sadly, the Korean War is often referred as the forgotten war. In commemoration of the 60th year of the Korean War armistice, Arirang TV meets with the Korean War veterans in the U.S. who unveil vivid details of their experiences during the Korean War, and their special relationship with Korea. |
