A special festival was held in Jeju last February to celebrate the day of the first full moon following the lunar calendar.
Titled "Jeongwol Daeboreum Fire Festival," a class magazine selected this festival as "The best tourist festival in Korea."
The festival was specially more welcomed this year by fervent participants as Jeju has not only become a “triple crown” winner in UNESCO's nature and science field, but it has also won its place as one of the world's Seven Wonders of Nature this year. Different unique events were enjoyed by the public during the festival including Jeju folk concerts and games, the Lighting of the Moon House and Setting Fire to Oreum, the two last being the main events of the program.
This show will take us to Jeju to enjoy this Fire Festival that is now becoming one of Korea's iconic folk festivals.
