A representative private institution back in Joseon Dynasty is called "Seowon".
Seowon was the place not to simply gain knowledge, but to produce complete person, "Seon-bi", through continuous self-reflection. Seowon has various meanings besides apparent value as a cradle of scholarship.
There still remains Confucian ritual which is globally rare. They are located in many hidden stunning scenery places.
