The World On arirang

The whole world is trembling in fear over COVID-19. Schools have postponed the new semester because of concern over mass infection and factories have shut down. Hospitals have changed into a battlefield and people are staying at home as a form of self-quarantine. Flights between countries have come to a halt. This virus is putting a dent in national security, as well as the economy and the society. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced COVID-19 as a pandemic and the global community has begun a fierce battle against this virus.

Despite the anxiety and fear over COVID-19, Koreans have chosen to protect themselves. Korean corporations are providing relief supplies and emergency funds to fight the virus. In addition, the companies have opened up their training centers and institutes to be used for the patients with mild symptoms. People aren't going on panic purchasing sprees, there are no outbursts and people are making donations to help others. They give what they have, just so they can overcome this outbreak together. We can overcome this despair through sharing and hope.
