The 2nd North Korea-U.S. Summit took place on February 27 for 2 days in Hanoi, Vietnam 260 days after the first summit in Singapore in June. To break the stalemate in nuclear negotiations and establish peace on the Korean Peninsula, North Korean Leader Kim Jong-un and U.S. President Donald Trump sat back on the dialogue table. As opposed to what many hoped for, the two-day summit in Hanoi was cut short without an agreement. Yet, the two leaders expressed their desire to continue dialogue for denuclearization and kept the hope high.
