Arirang TV(CEO Bang Suk-ho) will air its year-end documentary special, "The World on Arirang," on December 31. "The World on Arirang" revisits Arirang's accomplishments in 2015, including the launch of its own channel on the UN in-house network, as well as the expansion of its global broadcasting network through MOUs with partners in Latin America(Brazil, Peru) and Europe(Spain, France). The documentary also features interviews with Dirk Hebecker, Representative of UNHCR Korea, David-Pierre Jalicon, President of the French Korean Chamber of Commerce, Peruvian Ambassador Jaime Pomareda and Spanish Ambassador Gonzalo Ortiz on Arirang TV's role in strengthening exchange and ties between Korea and other countries around the world. Kattie Lussier, Professor of the Division of International Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies additionally discusses the media's influence on international relations. She also assesses the network's performance and future direction as Korea's media diplomat, and provides insight on how Arirang is not only a digital content provider, but a valuable contributor to the public good.
Lastly, CEO Bang Suk-ho of Arirang TV, who has changed the network's slogan from "Asia Heart Beat" to "The World on Arirang" since taking office in 2014, speaks about his vision for Arirang TV's growth in 2016.
