Airing soon after Chuseok, the Korean holiday during which many return to their hometowns to be with loved ones and honor their ancestors, this Arirang Special follows the homecomings of 38 adoptees.
They were born in Korea and adopted overseas. They are all 18 or older, they come from the United States, Europe, Australia and elsewhere in the world. Their common bond is the need and desire to get to know the country that was first theirs.
Some have come to tour Korea and visit its neighborhoods, its landmarks ?touristy stuff. Others have come to search for their biological parents and, in some cases, information such as name and date of birth lost decades ago.
We tell their story, through their perspectives and words.
