Last month, an international cruise titled "Peace & Green Boat 2005" took 500 Koreans and Japanese to Korea, China and Japan in an effort to promote peace and harmony in Northeast Asia.
Co-hosted by the Green Foundation of Korea and Japan's Peace Boat, an international non-governmental organization, the cruise commemorated the 60th anniversary of Korea's independence.
Arirang covered the trip for a special documentary titled "Peace Without Borders." We chronicle the experiences of participants who came face to face with history and who made friends along the way. It's an insightful look at the perspectives of young people today and how different countries are making promises of peace.
The cruise, which took place between Aug. 13 and 27, docked at Pusan, Incheon, Dandong, Shanghai, Okinawa and Nagasaki.
Tune in for an in-depth look at international efforts being made for peace in Northeast Asia.
