This documentary examines the history of cultural interchange between Korean and Japan through ceramic ware. The special program was co-produced starting last December, for eight months, by Arirang and Japan's privately-managed broadcasting company, "Nagoya TV"
Viewers can meet ceramic-making descendants from the Joseon period who were drafted during the Japanese Invasion of Korea in 1952. The program features where ceramic artists stayed in the Kyushu region and introduces the story of Lee Sam-pyung, a well-respected man considered the founder of ceramic ware. Viewers can also meet ceramic makers Gong young-rae, Kim Jung-ok and Seo Gwang-su - all of whom help keep the tradition alive.
