1. South Korea on Monday reported 2-thousand 6-hundred 99 new COVID-19 cases. The number of patients at critical conditions stands at 549, breaking the record as the highest figure since the start of the pandemic.
2. Costa Rican President Carlos Alvarado said Tuesday at a summit with President Moon Jae-in that the diplomatic relationship between South Korea and Costa Rica is elevated to a more comprehensive and practical partnership, while expecting the broadened outcomes of their bilateral ties.
3. Former South Korean President Chun Doo-hwan, died at the age of 90 on Tuesday. He was an army general and the authoritarian leader who served as the country's fifth president. Meanwhile,he will not be buried at the national cemetery, and President Moon Jae-in is not planning on issuing a statement.
