arirang Special Interview (with Greenpeace) 2021-05-21 750

Special Interview (with campaigner Lee Chang-pyo, from Greenpeace)

Drawing the most attention in the environmental field recently is climate change.
The entire world, including South Korea, is making efforts to fight climate change.
Climate change is a big problem in itself, but it also has great impact on biodiversity.

Tomorrow, May 22 is the International Day for Biological Diversity,
a day designated by the United Nations to understand and preserve biodiversity.

Amidst environmental pollution and climate change endangering countless species, scientists warn that if the loss in species continues, the Earth's ecosystem may soon face the "6th mass extinction".

Endangerment of biodiversity is said to also be an endangerment to mankind.

In today's special interview,
we'll be looking into the importance of biodiversity and how to protect it.

We had an interview with Greenpeace Campaigner Lee Chang-pyo.
