South Korea's health authorities reported 524 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday.
Though the figure has stayed below the 700 mark for a week now, officials remain on high alert over cluster infections at high-risk facilities such as religious facilities and hospitals.
Of the new cases, 496 were locally transmitted, most of which were in the greater Seoul area.
28 were from overseas.
The total number of cases now surpasses the 70-thousand mark.
10 more people died, raising the death toll to 1,195.
