From today, anyone taking buses, subway trains or taxis in South Korea must wear a face mask.
Most people have already been following such guidelines, but the government has introduced the stronger measures due to the increasing number of passengers and drivers neglecting to wear masks amid rising temperatures.
Bus and taxi drivers can deny entry for anyone not wearing a mask …without facing punishment for refusing passengers.
Drivers must also wear masks at all times while carrying passengers.
The mask-wearing policy will be extended to all domestic and international flights starting Wednesday.
