S. Korea confirms 23 new COVID-19 cases on Sat., death toll at 266 Updated: 2020-05-23 12:19:24 KST

Now onto the COVID-19 situation here in the nation.
South Korea has confirmed 23 new cases on Saturday.
19 of the new cases are local transmissions, most linked to the Itaewon cluster of infections.
So far there are a total of 219 cases related to the club infections.
With two additional deaths, the death toll stands at 266.
Meanwhile, Daegu city has also confirmed an infection related to the Itaewon club cluster infections on Friday.
A teenager visited Daegu after having been infected by a friend who went to a club in Itaewon.
Health authorities are now working to identify the patient's routes as they visited several coin-operated karaokes and clothing stores in Daegu.
