The South Korean capital Seoul has been ranked second in the world out of some 1,000 cities in terms of hosting the most meetings of international nonprofit organizations last year.
The ranking by the Union of International Associations has Seoul up one slot from the year before.
Seoul hosted 265 meetings in 2021, both online and in-person, accounting for about 4% of all meetings held worldwide.
The city government attributed the higher ranking to its provision of disinfection services, like air shower booths, at meeting venues.
The top-ranked city was Brussels, and Tokyo ranked third.
