Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has slammed the U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy, saying it's "doomed to fail."
He also said it was a strategy to create division and destroy peace.
His comments follow the South Korea-U.S. joint statement issued over the weekend.
Although the statement by the allies did not mention China directly, it did mention the "Taiwan Strait" and "human rights."
It said Presidents Yoon and Biden are both committed to protecting peace and stability in the South China Sea, including the Taiwan Strait.
The statement also said the two leaders share concerns about human rights issues in the Indo-Pacific, including the military regime in Myanmar, and will work to promote human rights.
