The South Korean city of Gwangju has been chosen to host the World Archery Championships in 2025.
Gwangju Mayor Lee Yong-seop said in an online briefing on Monday that the decision was made by the executive board of world archery, and he received the news on Sunday evening.
This city in Jeollanam-do Province beat out Madrid in a vote ten to one.
South Korea will be hosting the event for the third time Seoul having done so in 1985 and Ulsan in 2009.
It's expected to bring together around 11-hundred competitors from 90 different countries.
