South Korea's Hyundai Motor and its local rival Kia Motors have ranked 11th and 19th, respectively, in the 2022 Consumer Reports Auto Reliability Report.
Japanese automakers Lexus, Mazda and Toyota made up the top three.
Tesla ranked second-to-last at 27th.
Among the top ten most reliable new cars, the report had Kia Motors' Niro EV at number two.
The report shows how well vehicles hold up over time and the odds an owner could be inconvenienced by problems and repairs.
