Average price of gasoline in S. Korea tops US$ 1.53 per liter Updated: 2021-11-09 17:00:55 KST

Gas prices in South Korea have been have been on the rise for the past few weeks.
According to data compiled by the Korea National Oil Corporation, the average price of gasoline nationwide has now topped 1,800 Korean won or around one-dollars fifty cents per liter.
To this, the government has already announced plans to cut fuel taxes by 20 percent, starting this Friday, to cope with inflation concerns.
The local oil refining industry also said it will join the government's efforts to bring down prices in a bid to help consumers.
