S. Korea, SICA, U.S. hold talks in Seoul to bolster cooperation Updated: 2021-10-28 17:02:20 KST

Seoul's foreign ministry hosted a dialogue today with seven Central American countries attended by the vice foreign ministers of Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and Panama as well as U.S. officials.
Meeting with them in Seoul, South Korea's vice foreign minister Choi Jong-kun praised the achievements made through cooperation between Korea, these Central American countries and the U.S., as well as the cooperation fund established by South Korea and SICA a group of eight countries in the region known as the Central American Integration System.
The vice ministers from Central America said they would like to expand cooperation with Seoul in trade, investment, agriculture and eco-friendly infrastructure.
Also discussed were the Korean Peninsula peace process, migrant issues and climate change.
