U.S. envoy for North Korea, Sung Kim, is due to arrive here in South Korea this afternoon for talks with his Korean counterpart Noh Kyu-duk.
They are to meet on Sunday in Seoul to discuss the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
Speculation is rife on what message the American envoy has regarding the Korean government's proposal of declaring a formal end to the Korean War.
The two envoys already met in Washington this week along with their Japanese counterpart and discussed ways to resume the peace process.
Kim's trip was originally scheduled on Friday but was delayed for one day.
