President Moon Jae-in will be attending a string of online meetings next week with the countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
The Blue House said Wednesday that Moon is expected to strengthen strategic partnerships with the ASEAN member states, who are key partners in Seoul's 'New Southern Policy.'
On October 26th and 27th, President Moon will attend a total of four sessions which include the South Korea-ASEAN Summit, the South Korea-Mekong Summit and the ASEAN+3 Summit.
The participants are expected to discuss regional cooperation in preparation for the post-pandemic era, with Moon to share South Korea's efforts to achieve a regional economic recovery.
President Moon will also ask for support for his peace initiative on the Korean Peninsula.
