U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken has been holding talks in Washington with the head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, to discuss North Korea and Iran's nuclear programs.
Voicing support for the agency's monitoring activities, Blinken agreed with Grossi that they have a lot to cover.

"it plays a critical role in helping to forge cooperation on the peaceful uses of nuclear power. So there is a lot to talk about today. Needless to say, Iran is a big part of the focus."

The U.S. wants Iran to rejoin the 2015 Iran nuclear deal which Tehran left soon after the former Trump administration pulled the U.S. out in 2018.
The meeting also follows the IAEA's report in August showing signs North Korea has restarted operations at its main nuclear reactor.
