U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg warns supply chain crisis in U.S. will drag into 2022 Updated: 2021-10-18 07:41:50 KST

U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg is warning that the country's supply chain crisis will stretch to 2022, potentially crippling the upcoming holiday season in the United States.
Speaking to CNN on Sunday, he said the Biden administration is doing all it can to resolve the issue, but admitted the challenges are mounting.
He also noted that some 17 billion U.S. dollars from Biden's infrastructure plan has been allocated for ports alone, a move he says will help ensure the U.S. is not vulnerable to bottlenecks when there are demand fluctuations.
