South Korean carmakers saw less production, domestic demand, and exports in September.
Trade Ministry data shows the country produced around 229-thousand cars in September, an on-year decrease of 33 percent.
That's mainly because of the four-day holiday and several days of factory closures due to a lack of semiconductors.
But eco-friendly cars saw their highest monthly sales in September, making up roughly 24 percent of export sales.
And one in four cars sold in South Korea were also eco-friendly vehicles.
