S. Korea's exports for Oct. 1-10 jump 63.5% y/y Updated: 2021-10-12 20:31:32 KST

South Korea's exports during the first 10 days of October jumped more than 60 percent from a year ago, on the back of chips, steel products and petroleum products.
The Korea Customs Service says the country's exports from October 1st to 10th came to around 15.two billion U.S. dollars, up 63.5 percent on-year.
By sector, exports of semiconductors climbed 22 percent on-year with steel products jumping more than 1-hundred-60 percent.
Outbound shipments of petroleum products were up more than 200 percent amid surging global oil prices.
South Korea's exports have increased for the past 11 months in a row.
