With some 77 percent of the population now vaccinated with at least one dose, more vaccine doses arrived here in South Korea today.
Some 436-thousand Pfizer doses arrived this afternoon at the Incheon International Airport from Romania.
The Korean government bought them from Romania through a bilateral vaccine partnership.
Also, more than 1.3 million doses of the Moderna vaccine are due to arrive later today.
The government purchased the Moderna doses directly from the vaccine maker.
In the fourth quarter, South Korea plans to give shots to the younger population aged between 12 to 17 and pregnant women as well as giving booster shots.
