The U.S. and Russia will form two working groups on strategic issues and nuclear weapons disarmament.
The Moscow-based Sputnik News agency reports U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman met on Thursday with her Russian counterpart Sergey Ryabkov.
One of the groups will manage principles and tasks on armament control.
The other: issues related to strategic weapons.
The Russians hosted this second round of talks in Geneva, which followed the previous meeting held at the U.S. mission in the same city in July.
