6 in 10 S. Koreans aged over 60 earning money for themselves: Statistics Korea Updated: 2021-09-27 15:02:25 KST

Data show most South Koreans over age 60, unlike in the past, are still working jobs to make a living.
That's according to Statistics Korea, where an official said these people of the Baby Boom generation are accustomed to a more independent life, many of them having gone to college, giving them lifelong skills.
Also, data show that as of last year, around forty percent of people in their thirties were not married.
That's an increase of more than a six percent compared to 2015.
The agency official said reasons might include the difficulty of finding jobs and housing especially in the pandemic.
