Chinese tech giant Huawei's Chief Financial Officer Meng Wanzhou has been released from Canada after reaching an agreement with the U.S. Justice Department.
Meng was arrested in Vancouver on a U.S. warrant in 2018 for alleged fraud charges related to violations of Iran sanctions.
The CFO left Canada on Friday to return to her home country.
Shortly after her departure, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that China had released two Canadians detained for almost three years.
They were imprisoned in China on espionage charges days after Meng was arrested in 2018.
