We start with Typhoon Chanthu this morning, the typhoon is passing by South Korea, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to Jeju Island and the south coast.
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, as of 7 AM on Friday, the mid-sized typhoon was around 60 kilometers southeast of Jeju's southern city of Seogwipo.
If it stays on its projected path, it will pass through the Straits of Korea this afternoon heading toward Japan.
A typhoon advisory has been issued for Jeju Island and Gyeongsang-do provinces.
There haven't been any casualties reported so far, but several roads, houses and an underground shopping center on Jeju were flooded.
Also, as many as 23 flights to and from Jeju have been canceled.
