Good morning. Let's start by giving you an update on Typhoon Chanthu. The storm is near Shanghai, and will be over stagnant waters off Shanghai through Thursday, before heading towards waters off Jeju by Friday morning, then passing through Korea's south coast.
And southern regions have been feeling the impact. Rain has been pouring down on Jeju and the south coast along with strong gusts dropping 20 millimeters of rain an hour, and rain and wind will only pick up as the day goes on.
Rain and strong wind alerts have been issued for Jeju with up to 300 millimeters of rain in store. Jeollanam-do Province will see 120 millimeters.
Meanwhile, it looks to be a calm and hot day in the upper regions under sunny skies morning temperatures are similar to yesterday.
But the afternoon high in the capital will hit 31 degrees Celsius, while it'll hover in the mid twenties for southern regions.
