First in-person Quad summit to be held at White House on Sep. 24: Reuters Updated: 2021-09-14 07:37:30 KST

U.S. President Joe Biden will host the very first face-to-face summit of leaders of the so-called "Quad" countries at the White House next week.
Citing government sources, Reuters say that the meeting will be held on September 24th, involving the leaders of Australia, India and Japan.
The summit will follow the UN General Assembly slated to kick off next Tuesday in New York.
The Quad has been seeking ways to bolster cooperation to counter China's growing assertiveness in the region.
