First int'l passenger flight arrives in Kabul following U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan Updated: 2021-09-13 21:26:21 KST

A passenger flight from Pakistan landed at Kabul airport on Monday the first since the U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.
According to officials from Pakistan International Airlines about 10 passengers left from Islamabad on a "special flight" and arrived in Kabul to "create goodwill" with the people of Afghanistan and to "strengthen humanitarian efforts."
However, the spokesman said to CNN that it was "not an aid flight."
The airline's spokesperson added that the airline hopes to resume commercial services but no details have been announced yet.
