Unvaccinated people 11 times more likely to die of COVID-19: U.S. CDC Updated: 2021-09-13 09:23:15 KST

A study has revealed that people who haven't been vaccinated against COVID-19 are eleven times more likely to die from the virus.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also found that people are ten times more likely to be hospitalized if they haven't received the shot.
It was conducted on some 600-thousand COVID-19 patients, during the spring and summer period when the Delta variant began to emerge.
Vaccine effectiveness dropped by more than 10-percent after the emergence of the Delta variant, from the initial 90-percent.
Despite this, the CDC stressed vaccination works and protects against severe cases.
