Good morning. Rain clouds that formed over the south coast are dropping showers on Jeollanam-do Province and Jeju Island this morning, rain will pick up as the day goes on with mountainous regions of Jeju under a heavy rain advisory. Western regions including Seoul could be seeing light rain during the day.
Morning temperatures are similar to yesterday, but with more clouds to begin the day.
Highs will be a few notches lower today for most, Seoul at 28 degrees Celsius, Gwangju at 25 degrees about 3 degrees lower.
Fine autumn weather returns just in time for the weekend, then Jeju and southern regions will be seeing rainfall early next week due to the indirect effect of Typhoon Chanthu.
Now, that typhoon is forecast to make landfall over southern Taiwan in the next few days, and could also impact Korea's southern regions by early next week, so we'll need to stay alert and keep an eye on its path.
