Over the past 50 years disasters like floods caused by climate change have increased fivefold.
According to the World Meteorological Organization, disasters have killed more than two million people and cost over three.six trillion U.S. dollars during that period.
More than 91 percent of the deaths were from developing countries.
The agency says, the global warming is leading to a rising frequency of disasters and hopes that that its report can prompt governments to build policies to protect people from disasters.
