South Korea's top nuclear envoy, on a visit to Washington for talks, says the U.S. is committed to a "creative, flexible and open" stance toward resuming dialogue with North Korea.
Noh Kyu-duk was speaking to reporters in Washington on Tuesday.
He said the U.S. is aware of the urgency of the North Korean denuclearization issue.
With U.S. officials, he discussed cooperation on humanitarian aid for the North and said South Korea and the U.S. are fully ready to work with Pyeongyang.
In Washington, Noh met several U.S. officials, including his counterpart Sung Kim and the White House's chief Asia adviser, Kurt Campbell.
