Good morning. It rained all day in the capital on Tuesday, receiving nearly 80 millimeters of precipitation in a single day,.. but the rain has stopped in the capital region. However, rain clouds have moved a bit further south to the Chungcheong-do Provinces dropping 50 millimeters an hour there.
So a heavy rain warning has been issued for Chungcheongnam-do Province, there's also an advisory for surrounding regions, while a strong wind advisory is in place for parts of Chungcheongnam-do Province. It's a rough start to September for people in those regions.
Do expect more than 120 millimeters of showers for regions that are under rain alerts, but showers should let up as the morning goes on. Jeolla-do Provinces could see rain into this afternoon.
It's a cool and breezy start to the day, those of us in the upper parts of the country can leave our umbrellas at home. Seoul beginning the day at 21 degrees.
Highs will be slightly higher today while parts of Jeju and Gyeongsangnam-do Province remain under heat wave advisories.
