Good morning. Typhoon Lupit, that's passing through western Japan, is affecting regions and seas in the east along with typhoon related alerts this morning. Lupit should become a low-pressure system over the East Sea this evening.
But until then, expect to see heavy showers along with strong guststhough rain will taper off from the afternoon while those in the east of Gangwon-do Province need to brace for downpours and strong gusts through tomorrow. Stay safe at all times.
The east coast will get relief from the heat, but a sweltering day continues for most of us. The capital region is still under a heat wave warning with an expected high of 33 degrees.
But we can say the hottest part of summer has passed as tomorrow's passing rain will bring some relief from the heat to the country. Also frequent rain is in store for other parts of the country.
