N. Korea yet to complete procedures for COVID-19 vaccines from COVAX: UNICEF Updated: 2021-08-05 09:22:10 KST

North Korea has yet to complete the necessary procedures to receive COVID-19 vaccines from the COVAX Facility.
According to Voice of America, a spokesperson for UNICEF said Wednesday that they are providing technical support to the regime, but UNICEF did not elaborate on what steps still need to be taken.
In order to get vaccines from COVAX, countries have to sign liability waiver agreements for vaccine side effects and allow the entrance of international staff.
The WHO says North Korea and Eritrea are the only countries that hadn't started vaccination programs as of July 30th.
