The head of a Belarus exiles group has been found dead in Ukraine a day after he went missing.
Ukraine's National Police on Tuesday said that Vitaly Shishov's body was found hanged in a park in Kyiv, not far from his residence.
Police opened up a murder inquiry, considering the possibility of a "murder disguised as suicide."
Earlier on Monday, Police said Shishov's partner reported him missing after he failed to return from a run.
Shishov led the Belarusian House in Ukraine, a group helping people who have fled Belarus, a country which has been in political and social turmoil since last year involving a violent crackdown by the government.
