On-and-off showers tonight...stuffy and hot conditions continue Updated: 2021-08-03 17:14:32 KST

Warm and humid air continues to expand its reach across South Korea. This push of muggy air will also lead to further instability, triggering longer spells of isolated showers. The Seoul metropolitan area, Gangwon-do and Jeollanam-do provinces can expect 10 to 60 millimeters of rain. Parts of western regions may see locally heavy downpours overnight. And tomorrow, most parts of the country will see on-and-off showers ranging between 5 to 50 millimeters.

With the help of cold showers, the intensity of the heat has eased off a tad. Last night, the capital Seoul took a break from the tropical nights that lasted for the past 14 days. But as you can see, the summer heatwave is still ongoing nationwide. Southern regions are still under an intense heatwave with warnings in place.

The capital and Chuncheon will have a wet morning tomorrow. Morning lows will range from 23 to 26 degrees, nationwide.

Daytime highs will about 1 to 3 degrees higher than today's. Seoul will get up to 33 degrees. Daejeon and Gwangju 34 degrees. Daegu 35 degrees.

Along with the heatwave, showers will be passing across inland regions until Thursday.

That's all for now, and here are the weather conditions around the world.
