Good morning. The capital has been enduring a severe heat wave since mid-July with day time highs constantly topping above 33 degrees Celsius and heat sticks with us even at night. We have had tropical nights for 10 consecutive days now.
Today will be another sweltering one as well, highs in Seoul, Daegu and Daejeon will be 35 degrees along with mostly sunny skies, high humidity with a chance of sporadic rain for inland areas in the north east. Then rain will start on Jeju from the evening, which will spread nationwide by Saturday.
Eastern regions will see rain of up to 50 millimeters while the west will get 5 to 30 millimeters. For now, Seoul is forecast to get showers before lunch time tomorrow with a moderate amount in store.
But the rain won't give us much relief from the heat. However, temperatures will go down a few notches compared to this week :).
That's Korea for you and here's a look at weather conditions around the world.
