The monthly average number of overseas tourists visiting South Korea plunged below 10-thousand for most of last year due to the pandemic.
According to data released by the Korea Tourism Organization, an average of 97-hundred international tourists visited the country from April to December, 2020.
This is not even one percent of the roughly 1 million tallied in January last year.
Seoul is mulling over introducing a so-called "travel bubble," which exempts inbound travelers from mandatory quarantine, if they submit negative COVID-19 test results.
