President Moon Jae-in has condemned the violent suppression of protests by the military in Myanmar, saying there should not be any more loss of lives.
Via social media on Saturday,.. Moon strongly called for the immediate release of all those detained, including State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi.
He added that South Korea stands firm with the people of Myanmar for a quick and peaceful restoration of democracy.
More than 50 people have been killed since mass protests began across Myanmar after the military seized control last month.
