S. Korea's consumer sentiment index up 4.2 points m/m in January Updated: 2021-01-27 08:33:16 KST

South Korea's consumer sentiment in January saw a slight increase amid rising hope on the imminent COVID-19 vaccine rollouts and well as the slowing spread of the virus.
According to the Bank of Korea on Wednesday, the composite consumer sentiment index in January was at 95.4 up 4.2 points from the previous month.
But the figure still remains below the 100 threshold, meaning more people are still more pessimistic than optimistic about the economy.
