Data show that last year, with support from the Ministry of Environment, Korea's eco-friendly businesses managed to secure nearly 1-and-a-half trillion won in orders for large projects overseas.
That's more than 1.3 billion U.S. dollars.
The environment ministry, in the pandemic, has been helping green companies enter markets overseas by helping them with the cost of self-isolation when their staff visit other countries and providing non-face-to-face communication platforms.
Their overseas orders were up about 5 percent from the year before.
Examples include a project to build a waste incinerator in Poland, a solar panel project in Japan and industrial water supply in Indonesia.
